While Windows Vista comes with voice recognition as part of the package, it is somewhat limited. I’ve been trying to make do, with my frustration level rising slowly and consistently.

I gave up.

Today I installed Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11. There are quite a few changes and it looks like quite an improvement. The biggest problem is the speaker, me. I learned not to trust voice recognition decades ago, and it’s hard to make myself believe that it will work. I still suspect that… No matter how much things have improved, it’s not going to work like it does on Star Trek. (Unless you count the episodes where the computer has a virus and is slowly turning into green Jell-O…)

So… The Dragon Lands, long live the Dragon!

It’s the 10th Day of Christmas, and some of the "holiday frenzy" is winding down.  I’m so glad of that!  I’m reveling in getting into reading my books for next semester.  One of them, Paul Althaus’,"Ethics of Martin Luther" is a real winner!  I’m so glad that it is part of my assigned readings!  It impressed me so deeply that I wrote and Amazon review…
